Daniel Orr
For more than 30 years, the artist Daniel Orr has been translating curiosity into a body of work that, at its core, is about minimalist beauty. With a foundation in ceramics, he expanded his focus to include photography, painting, and digital art while living in Japan at the turn of the millennia. His pieces are impressionistic, in that they are often abstract, but rooted in subject matter that is recognizable.
Artist's Message...
I have always been curious. I take great joy in paying attention. Much of what I do is about doing, that is to say that the act of making is very much a part of it. I strive to be honest. I seek to make work that I believe or know. I am always in pursuit of true beauty. I want to feel something while doing it and if I can be true while making it the work will contain it forever.
