Mitra Akhavan
Mithra has a Bachelor degree in performing art from university of Tehran . She directed and acted several plays for stage and also for radio. After she moved to USA while she was acting/directing plays for stage , she went back to school again and got her master degree in Interior Design and Architecture from UCLA /Cal Poly Pomona. She started doing remolding project with her husband. Painting is her passion and of the ways that keep her creativity alive.
Artist's Message...
Spirituality and feeling are the basic subjects of my works. They are depictions of intuitive expressions using color and shapes as language. The revelation of a primal image that delivers an immediate response in the viewer . My paintings convey a felt perception of life, and a clear expression of my passion and sense of spirituality. I sense a visual music that externalizes what I feel within me .
