About The Event
Nagasaki Peace Exhibition 2026 - LELA International has been commemorating the dropping of the atomic bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima, Japan, for the past 45 years through an art exhibition held at the Nagasaki Prefectural Museum of Art. This year marks the 46th anniversary of LELA's education to inviting artists to contribute works that advocate for peace, denounce war, and condemn the use of atomic weapons.
With 2026 marking the 81st anniversary of the atomic bombings, participation in this year’s Nagasaki 8.9 Peace Exhibition is especially significant. The selected artwork will first be displayed at the Nagasaki Prefectural Museum of Art for a week before being moved to Nagasaki City Hall, where it will be exhibited, dates to be determined.
